Warming The Farmer's Soul

I am a first time mom to Leila Sloane and wife to a Mississippi Delta Farmer. We had no idea our life was missing anything until our beautiful baby girl came along. I met my husband Dave at a school function in March of 2009. We were married in Tupelo, March 26, 2011 and had our lovely Leila in February 2013. As I take this new journey as a wife and mother I want to share snapshots of our life, recipes that warm my farmers soul, and Pinterest triumphs and failures.

Leila's Nursery

I wanted to share some pictures with you of Leila's nursery. My mom and dad worked hard to help us and I think it turned out perfect. My goal was not to really have a theme but to go with a color scheme that I liked. Dave had an old movie poster of The Beatles movie The Yellow Submarine. It has cartoon characters and lots of bright colors. That was where I started and went from there.

Yes that is a picture of Jerry Garcia. It was my husbands only

request so of course I complied.
